Community Rules

What keeps WikiDerby fun and fair. We wrote these in good faith, so please do not hunt for loopholes. Staff have the final say. These sit alongside the terms.
1. Follow the terms
Breaking the terms is breaking these rules, and the other way round. You must be at least 13 to play. If you say you are younger, even as a joke, we close the account and delete its data.
2. Do not cheat
No tools or tricks that give you an edge: bots, macros, auto-clickers, scripts that play or pick links for you, route or path solvers, forged results, lag tricks, or exploiting a bug. If you find a bug, report it and do not use it. Tournament and event rules count too.
3. Play fair
Take races seriously. Do not misrepresent your skill, mess with the leaderboards, quit races to dodge a loss, throw a race, or ask for wins. One account per person. Do not share your account with anyone, and do not make extra accounts. Sharing a device is fine as long as everyone uses their own account.
4. Do not dodge a ban
If you are muted, restricted or banned, do not use another account or a guest session to get around it. Evading a ban makes it permanent. If you think it was a mistake, appeal by emailing us. If someone else on your network caused the ban, tell us and we will sort it out.
5. Do not harm or harass anyone
No doxxing, threats, inciting violence, sexual harassment, discrimination, or slurs. Do not pretend to be someone else, and that includes picking a username almost identical to theirs.
6. Be civil
Talk to people like you would in person. Banter is fine only while everyone is enjoying it. If you are not sure you are crossing a line, you probably are.
7. Keep chat clean
No spam or flooding. No advertising your channel, server, social accounts or referral links unless it is on topic. No sharing personal details, yours or anyone else's.
8. All ages
Nothing adult in chat, usernames, avatars, cursors or profiles: no drug use, sexual topics, shock content or anything meant to offend. Offensive content gets removed, and the account may be restricted.
9. Let us handle problems
Do not play moderator. Report the player and move on. Do not give attention or encouragement to cheaters or toxic players. When someone is punished, leave it alone. It is between them and us.
10. Report bad actors
If you see something wrong, use the report button on a player or a chat message. Reports of chat send the surrounding conversation to us. Do not send false, spam or nonsense reports, or you may be punished for it.
What happens if you break them
Depending on how serious it is and whether it is the first time, we may:
- remove the offending content from your profile and the leaderboards,
- mute you, so you cannot chat, for a while or for good,
- restrict you, so you cannot play online or submit scores,
- close your account, or block the network it came from if it looks like a larger group,
- delete your account straight away for severe offences.
Each time it happens again it costs more: a first chat offence is a one-day mute, and it climbs from there. A year without trouble starts you over. Threats, doxxing and ban evasion skip straight to a permanent ban.
Rules are applied by intent, case by case.
Alternate accounts
Guest play is fine within reason, but never to get around a ban or a limit, or to enter rooms and events meant for newer players. Deleting an account and making a new one without a good reason counts as an alt. If you think you have a valid reason for a second account, email support@xofanic.com first.
